Project Echoes 09.03.10

OK, a little late this time, but today is my catch up day. I think sometimes I suffer from having TOO many ideas and not knowing where to start…so once again, I will just START.

This elephant ear plant is in my front yard.  It has been there for quite some time. I have always seen pattern and graphics everywhere, but since I have started this project, it has taken on a whole new meaning for me. The Post Post – 08.20.10

Project : Echoes 3 – (08.20.10)

The third installment in my Project : Echoes project was inspired by a wood support post. I went on a brief photowalk around the grounds of Miller-South Middle School in Akron, OH – the area Performing and Visual Arts school.  There is a really neat sculpture garden in the front yard of the school showcasing student work.  The found metal objects are exhibited on lumber structures and the end cap of one of the supports caught my eye.  The concentric circles of the lumber  created such an intriguing pattern, I decided it would be my inspiration this week.
