Multi-colored doodles…
Early on in my development of my style of freehand graphics, I played around with using colorful finepoint markers as well as as classic black. I later discovered that during the scanning process some of the opaque quality you gain from starting with black is lost. And although you do not lose the color in the scanning process, it is lost in the conversion process using the Adobe LiveTrace command. I have since taken these designs from a black and white format and added color where desired. These were produced using the Sharpie Pen Fine Point in my Moleskine Plain Reporter Notebook. The pens are great because there is no “bleeding” on the acid-free paper. Continue reading
