Project : Echoes – 09.17.10
I decided to do things differently this time. This time my “-ize” actually spotted a pattern that reminded me a little of a piece that I had completed previously. So I thought, with a few tweaks and additions, why not re-invent my drawing into something new and exciting?(for me anyway…I guess they are ALL new to you!) The Creative Habit by world-renowned choreographer Twyla Tharp is a wonderful book for anyone, particularly creatives. In her book, Tharp includes exercises designed to facilitate self-discovery. One such exercise is a questionnaire designed to help an individual get a handle on their creative identity. According to Tharp “If you understand the strands of your creative DNA, you begin to see how they mutate into common threads throughout your work.” Continue reading →
I have one of those six-CD changers in the trunk of my car plus a single CD player on the inside…but as much as I love music, I rarely change what’s in there. In fact, most of the time, I have NO IDEA what’s in there and everytime I go through them I say to myself  “I really need to update these!” My sons think it’s quite comical. We have been listening to Darius Rucker’s solo debut CD “Back to Then” for over 5 years now.
